‘Halloween Easter eggs’ – it sounds like Google is just confusing the holidays, but what it actually means is that the search engine giant is having a bit of fun for the upcoming holiday by changing the information in the search’s Knowledge Graph, that box of information on the top right of a search results page.
Words like ‘ghost’, ‘witch’, ‘skeleton’, ‘grim reaper’, ‘zombie’, ‘vampire’, ‘werewolf’, ‚evil pumpkin‘ and ‘mummy’ all produce a number of interesting factoids like origin, grouping, food source, how to avoid and how to defeat.
My favourite is ‘Ghost’, which contains an amusing blunder. Under ‘how to defeat’, the team at Google suggest calling Peter Venkman and Randy Stantz – but, if you didn’t know already, a quick Google search would tell you that the character in the Ghostbusters series’ name is Ray, not Randy. I guess even Google isn’t perfect.
The amusing Halloween Easter Eggs are sure to be up for the next few days.

On 31st October 2013, Google celebrates Halloween with a nice interactive Google Doodle. In this Doodle you have to mix some ingredients to create new sequences. Have you find other sequences which are not shown in my Video? Please comment.
Halloween or Hallowe’en (a contraction of „All Hallows‘ Evening“) is a yearly celebration observed worldwide on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows. According to many scholars, All Hallows‘ Evening was originally influenced by western European harvest festivals and festivals of the dead with possible pagan roots, particularly the Celtic Samhain. Others maintain that it originated independently of Samhain and has Christian roots. Typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (also known as „guising“), attending costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o‘-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.

On 29th October, Google celebrates the Republic Day of Turkey Cumhuriyet Bayramı with a Doodle. The Republic Day of Turkey is one of the public holidays in Turkey, commemorating the proclamation of the republic in 1923. It lasts 35 hours, starting at 1:00 pm on October 28. On 29 October 1923, Mustafa Kemal declared that Turkey would be a republic and renamed it as the Republic of Turkey.
Turkey had effectively been a republic from April 23, 1920 but official recognition of this came only 3 years later. On 29 October 1923, the new name of the nation and its status as a republic was declared. After that, a vote occurred in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Atatürk was selected as the 1st president of the Republic of Turkey by unanimous vote.

On 22nd October, Google honors the first parachute jump from André-Jaques Garnerin with a interactive Doodle!
You can Pilot the parachute to right and left and land on different places!
André-Jacques Garnerin was a balloonist and the inventor of the frameless parachute. He was appointed Official Aeronaut of France. Garnerin began experiments with early parachutes based on umbrella-shaped devices and carried out the first parachute descent with a silk parachute on October 22, 1797 at Parc Monceau, Paris. Garnerin’s first parachute resembled a closed umbrella before he ascended, with a pole running down its center and a rope running through a tube in the pole, which connected it to the balloon. Garnerin rode in a basket attached to the bottom of the parachute; at a height of approximately 900 m he severed the rope that connected his parachute to the balloon. The balloon continued skyward while Garnerin, with his basket and parachute, fell. The basket swung violently during descent, then bumped and scraped when it landed, but Garnerin emerged uninjured. The white canvas parachute was umbrella-shaped and approximately 7 m in Diameter.
