The Serbian Revolution for independence from the Ottoman Empire lasted eleven years, from 1804 until 1815. The first Serbian Constitution was adopted on 15 February 1835.
Serbia is a country located at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, covering the southern part of the Pannonian Plain and the central Balkans. The capital of Serbia, Belgrade, is among Europe’s oldest cities and one of the largest in Southeast Europe.
