Brazil vs Germany World Cup 2014 Semifinal Google Doodle #BRAGER


On July 8th, the Semifinal between Brazil and Germany is honored with a nice Google Doodle.
Brazil were able to get by their continental rivals Colombia on Friday, but not without losing two of their best players. Neymar was kneed in the back by Juan Zuniga and was left with broken vertebrae in his back, which will keep him out the rest of the World Cup. The team’s captain, Thiago Silva, picked up his second yellow card of the tournament and will be forced to sit the semifinal.

Germany will be making their fourth consecutive appearance in the semifinals when they take the field on Tuesday. Even though they have been able to get to this point consistently, they have not gotten past it since reaching the final in 2002.

Ilan Ramon’s 60th Birthday Google Doodle
June 20, 2014 at Google in Israel.

Ilan Ramon was an Israeli fighter pilot in the Israeli Air Force, and later the first Israeli astronaut.

Ramon was the space shuttle payload specialist of STS-107, the fatal mission of Columbia, in which he and six other crew members were killed in the re-entry accident. At 48, he was the oldest member of the crew. Ramon is the only foreign recipient of the United States Congressional Space Medal of Honor, which he was awarded posthumously.
